Creative Sewing and Needle Work show.
This one mom saw. We thought that it was a great pattern to hang on to incase someone we know is expecting. It should be a quick and esay stitch for me to do up. This gives me a nice break from the sampler one I have been doing for a while.
This pattern was from Annette one CSF. She was doing some cleaning of her stash and offered this as a giveaway contest. I was the lucky one who won it. She was also so very kind to add a sken of floss in with the pattern too. I think it would be perfect for the boarder. Thank you very much Annette. I will have to do that up soon and send pictures.
A new addition to the family
Well here is Dino #2 nearly done. He just needs to be outlined then he is finished. 2 down and 2 more to go. I have to go buy some more floss before I can do the rest. Here is a picture of the 2 of the dino's together. Aren't the cute. I think so but I might be alittle bias. Well we have a new addition to the family. Today I bought Mackenzie a Betta fish. I got to pick him out. Now we just have to wait till she names it. I know it is not a great picture. I took it with my phone camera. I will try and get a better one once he has a name.
Well today was a rough day for me. I spent all morning at the hospital for tests. I had to have and Echocardiogram which was ok. That is usually a nap test. Today they had to call the cardiologist in to make sure they had all the information she wanted. That only makes three in 7 months. I don't have any info from that. I will get it in 2 weeks when I see the cardiologist. Then I got to have a nice Stress test. I hate having them done. That was hard my exercise capacity is way down over last year. Today I only did 4:23 where as last year I did 7:30 not good. So that was quick and it totally whiped me out. Then I got to have the Pulmonary Function Tests. Well they were modified because I am having a hard time breathing on the higher dose of my beta blocker. So we shall see what the results of all this is in 2 weeks. If I am not satisfied I will talk to the EP and see what he has to say.

Busy in garden
Well I have been busy in the garden. I will attach some pictures. They are not really great cause I took them with my camera phone. I will get some more as I do more. Today I took out a bush and some ornamental grass. That was hard especially since my hip is killing me. I will have a break from gardening this week as it is supposed to rain all most all week and then acouple of night we are supposed to have below zero temps. Have to get out there and cover everything up.
The top picture is the start of my garden from the driveway and the stairs going up to the front porch. The one on the side here is at the end of the stairs ( there is a bit missing in between). The black edging is what I have been putting in the last week. What a pain that was.
You can also see these pictures in my album with descriptions of what the plants are. There are some other pictres there too so I won't post them all here.
I am feeling better from being so sick. I increased my one drug again yesterday because I have a series of test on Wednesday and I want to see just how badly it comprimises lung function so that the Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist can decide what they are going to do. I can already feel that I am not getting enough air into my lungs but I want is documented in black and white (that way the cardiologist can't say anything). It will also be interesting to see what my heart rate sits at during the Echo and then how high I can get it during the stress test. I will post the results Wednesday night.
Well I have been busy stitching still. I finished a dino on a baby blanket that I am doing. I started him Thursday and finished today. He is the first of 4 check the post before this one for a pic. I started number 2 tonight as well. Should have him done maybe Wednesday. Well I am going to finish now so that I can buy some more stash (not like I need any more).
One of 4 finished

Garden is getting ready
Well again today I was out in the garden. I finished up putting in the edging. Boy what a chore that was. I have two boxes left and am seriously thinking about taking them back. I can get something different for the veggie garden and the back garden. I was replaning my garden and thinking about what will come out and what will stay. I have offered some plants to a few friends now I just have to wait and see what the verdict is. Tomorrow I am going to buy some Gerber Dasies and some Pansys to complete the first section of the garden. Then I need to remove a few things and add some dirt. Then I will be ready to put some other plants in the next section. This I am hoping to have done by the end of the week so that I finish cleaning up the largest part of the garden and do what needs to be done there too. These are pictures of my garden 2 years ago. Some of the better gardening I have done.
Ok here is another finish for me this year. I know you are all probably getting tired of hearing me say here is another finish. So I will just post them and not draw attention to the unless they are something. At the rate I am going I could have nearly 50 finishes this year. Wow then I would have to go buy even more stash than I already have.
I am feeling alot better these days. I didn't do too bad at bowling tonight 188, 176, 111. Ok the last game wasn't so hot. My average is 154 which is really good hence it was 116 when I started almost 8 years ago.

Smoken now
I finished this Mill Hill pin yesterday and have about 1/4 of the Chicken A La Mode done. Should have that one finished tomorrow. That makes 15 projects in 16 weeks. My needle is looking a little worse for the wear though. I think it will break soon as it is quite warped.
Today mom, dad and I went to check out a Art and Artisan show. We thought it might be something we would apply for and sell out crafts at. Well basically all they had there was jewelery, paintings and wood. Oh and some sculptures. We decided that our stuff probably wouldn't go there and it was an expensive venture to try and not make the fee back.
When we came home I planted my Lenten Roses and did a little bit of clean up. I am trying to decide weather I will leave the Ninebark bush in or take it out and put some dasies or something like that in there. I am also considering taking out my grass on the far side and putting in some other stuff as well. I need to do something drastic to the garden as it is too flat. I have a few friends that I will ask if the want some of the plants I will be taking out. I will have to take some pictures of before, during and after Kathy's attack. I am going to get some Gerber Dasies to fill in the boring areas as they have lots of colour.
Obviously I am feeling better now. Last Thursday was the start of 4 weeks for this cold. I was told the other day they are calling it the 60 day cough. Well I have almost done 30 so only another 30 togo.
I will get to see how much the cold and my medication increase is affecting my lung function. A week from Wednesday I have an Echo, Stress Test and Pulomonary Function Tests. That will be a good indicator of what the meds are doing.

My New Stash and stuff
Today I got the rest of my stash that I bought from The Needle's Art. They have most of their stuff on for 40% off which with the Canadian dollar makes things a steal. What I received today (2 patterns, 2 buttons, 12 floss) would have been the same price as me buying the two patterns here.
These are the other 2 Mill Hill pins I got along with the Willow wings (butterfly/dragonfly) and some buttons.
Here is the fist pattern. It is Think Spring by Calico Cats. I love this pattern. Then next pattern is Summer Grace also by Calico Cats.
I would love to get my hands on the Fall and Winter patterns. I think they would look really nice as a Bell pull.
Here is my floss that I picked up. Most of it is Six Strand Sweets. The other floss is Olde Willow Stitchery. I think I will use the OWS Fireworks for the Summer pattern instead of Needle Necessities. And the Psychedlia for the Spring pattern.
Hopefully I will have the Santa pin done tomorrow (not much left to do on that one) and then I will start the Ducky. I will be glad when they are finished so that the beads can go away for awhile. I dumped the medicine cup with the beads in them three times tonight. I hate using beading needles.
I am feeling 95% better now. My cold is basically gone just a little cough but nothing like the last few weeks. Monday night I was actually able to bowl again and did really well (161, 212, 164) my average should go up again. We only have 4 weeks left of bowling. I am glad cause I want to get out in my garden. Speaking of I was out there today for awhile laying edging. Not the easiest task to do but I have some of the garden done (nearly 30') so that is good. I had to buy more edging but think I bought too much so that will have to go back. I don't mind as that means I can get more or more expensive plants. Speaking of I have to go to the nursery with in the next few days and pick up my rose bushes. They are not regular rose bushes. Once I get them I will have to post a picture of them since I can't find them on the net (can't remember what they are actually called).

Another finish
This was my quick finish for the weekend. It is one of the Mill Hill pin series. I have two more to do. I got them at The Needle's Art shop. They have a big sale on right now. I was so impressed with the floss that I got I put in another order for more floss and two more patterns. I got the Think Spring and Summer hopefully she will find Fall and Winter then I can make something with all 4 seasons.
My cold has nearly all gone. I am not coughing as bad as I was last week. I am going to start tomorrow and try upping my medication alittle bit and see how I do. Then if I can cope with that increase I will try and increase it again. But if I run into the same breathing problems again I know that the 15mgs a day is way too much for my system to handle and Toronto will have to rethink things.
Mom, Mac and I went to the garden center today to get some stuff for our gardens. We got some of the stuff for our veggie garden ( carrots, green and yellow beans, radishes, parsnips, beets) now I just have to buy the plants when it is warm enough. Plus we got some wildflower seeds, another seed mix, pansys, mimose, nursturums, snap dragons. Gusee who has ALOT of planting to do. That doesn't even begin to include the plants for my garden in the front. Should be fun.

What a weekend
In the mean time I did finish the biscornu that I was working on. This is with the dyed material I did and it is a San Man Original pattern. I think it looks pretty good. The saying is kinda hard to read. It says " a stitch a day keeps the grumpies away".

Getting there
I have been busy today working on Needle Block by San Man Originals. This is the pattern I have chosen for the blue dyed material that I made. I am going to trun it into a biscornu. The front is over half done now. I should be able to finish the whole thing up tomorrow.
Well I am heading to bed now as I am tired.

Some experimenting
This is some aida that I have been experimenting with. I dyed it yesterday. First I used periwinkle but I didn't like the colour of that it was a dull muted grey. SO I then redyed it with blue and the colour really came out when I ironed the aida. So now I will put my pattern on it and see from there. I can't wait to see how it will turn out.
Finally here is the finished Spring Planting by San Man Originals. It was an easy stitch but taking the waste canvase out was a royal pain in the butt. So that is finish #11 for me this year so far. Not bad.
I am feeling better from this cold/virus thing that I have. I should be good enought ot be back at the gym next week. Just in time for another set back of some sort.
Well going to clear emails and then go watch House.

A new month
Today I decided to try my hand at dyeing fabric. It is drying right now so I will post a picture later tonight. I used a blue colur after I did periwinkle and didn't like it. I am really happy with this blue. I am going to make it in to a biscornu with another San Man Original pattern. I will then give it to Martha. I can't wait to start it.
I had to see the family doctor yesterday to get some scripts for my meds. I just happened to come down with this wonderful cold in the mean time. Well she says to me yesterday that I am really sick and don't look well at all. Um hello its like I think I know that. Even my Niece knows I am not well. I was like just give me some drugs.
I hope to work on my Tayna Meehan Halloween Gameboard too so then that won't be a WIP any more.
