My New Stash and stuff

Today I got the rest of my stash that I bought from The Needle's Art. They have most of their stuff on for 40% off which with the Canadian dollar makes things a steal. What I received today (2 patterns, 2 buttons, 12 floss) would have been the same price as me buying the two patterns here.

These are the other 2 Mill Hill pins I got along with the Willow wings (butterfly/dragonfly) and some buttons.

Here is the fist pattern. It is Think Spring by Calico Cats. I love this pattern. Then next pattern is Summer Grace also by Calico Cats.

I would love to get my hands on the Fall and Winter patterns. I think they would look really nice as a Bell pull.

Here is my floss that I picked up. Most of it is Six Strand Sweets. The other floss is Olde Willow Stitchery. I think I will use the OWS Fireworks for the Summer pattern instead of Needle Necessities. And the Psychedlia for the Spring pattern.

Hopefully I will have the Santa pin done tomorrow (not much left to do on that one) and then I will start the Ducky. I will be glad when they are finished so that the beads can go away for awhile. I dumped the medicine cup with the beads in them three times tonight. I hate using beading needles.

I am feeling 95% better now. My cold is basically gone just a little cough but nothing like the last few weeks. Monday night I was actually able to bowl again and did really well (161, 212, 164) my average should go up again. We only have 4 weeks left of bowling. I am glad cause I want to get out in my garden. Speaking of I was out there today for awhile laying edging. Not the easiest task to do but I have some of the garden done (nearly 30') so that is good. I had to buy more edging but think I bought too much so that will have to go back. I don't mind as that means I can get more or more expensive plants. Speaking of I have to go to the nursery with in the next few days and pick up my rose bushes. They are not regular rose bushes. Once I get them I will have to post a picture of them since I can't find them on the net (can't remember what they are actually called).

Another finish

This was my quick finish for the weekend. It is one of the Mill Hill pin series. I have two more to do. I got them at The Needle's Art shop. They have a big sale on right now. I was so impressed with the floss that I got I put in another order for more floss and two more patterns. I got the Think Spring and Summer hopefully she will find Fall and Winter then I can make something with all 4 seasons.

My cold has nearly all gone. I am not coughing as bad as I was last week. I am going to start tomorrow and try upping my medication alittle bit and see how I do. Then if I can cope with that increase I will try and increase it again. But if I run into the same breathing problems again I know that the 15mgs a day is way too much for my system to handle and Toronto will have to rethink things.

Mom, Mac and I went to the garden center today to get some stuff for our gardens. We got some of the stuff for our veggie garden ( carrots, green and yellow beans, radishes, parsnips, beets) now I just have to buy the plants when it is warm enough. Plus we got some wildflower seeds, another seed mix, pansys, mimose, nursturums, snap dragons. Gusee who has ALOT of planting to do. That doesn't even begin to include the plants for my garden in the front. Should be fun.

What a weekend

Well this has been one rough weekend for me. My cold is dragging still. I am getting better but not fast enough. I spent Saturday morning in the ER cause I felt like I couldn't breath right. I felt like I wasn't getting air in my lungs. Every time I would fall asleep I would wake myself up afraid I was going to stop breathing. The ER doc gave me a Ventolin treatment to help me breath better which was great. Plus we found out that the beta blocker I am on for my arrhythmias comprimises the lungs. Well I have drasticly reduced my dose and am just waiting to call my EP tomorrow and see what he has to say.

In the mean time I did finish the biscornu that I was working on. This is with the dyed material I did and it is a San Man Original pattern. I think it looks pretty good. The saying is kinda hard to read. It says " a stitch a day keeps the grumpies away".

Getting there

WEll my cough is now really loose. I think I just pulled something in my back and side cause it hurts. My only concern now orther than this pulled what ever is the periodic shortness of breath. As long as that improves then we will be fine.

I have been busy today working on Needle Block by San Man Originals. This is the pattern I have chosen for the blue dyed material that I made. I am going to trun it into a biscornu. The front is over half done now. I should be able to finish the whole thing up tomorrow.

Well I am heading to bed now as I am tired.

Some experimenting

This is some aida that I have been experimenting with. I dyed it yesterday. First I used periwinkle but I didn't like the colour of that it was a dull muted grey. SO I then redyed it with blue and the colour really came out when I ironed the aida. So now I will put my pattern on it and see from there. I can't wait to see how it will turn out.

Finally here is the finished Spring Planting by San Man Originals. It was an easy stitch but taking the waste canvase out was a royal pain in the butt. So that is finish #11 for me this year so far. Not bad.

I am feeling better from this cold/virus thing that I have. I should be good enought ot be back at the gym next week. Just in time for another set back of some sort.
Well going to clear emails and then go watch House.

A new month

Well today I finished Spring Planting by San Man Original. It was a fairly easy stitch only took me two weeks. Could have finished it sooner only I feel like crap. I have the latest virus that is floating around. Once mom has pulled the waste canvac out I will post a picture.

Today I decided to try my hand at dyeing fabric. It is drying right now so I will post a picture later tonight. I used a blue colur after I did periwinkle and didn't like it. I am really happy with this blue. I am going to make it in to a biscornu with another San Man Original pattern. I will then give it to Martha. I can't wait to start it.

I had to see the family doctor yesterday to get some scripts for my meds. I just happened to come down with this wonderful cold in the mean time. Well she says to me yesterday that I am really sick and don't look well at all. Um hello its like I think I know that. Even my Niece knows I am not well. I was like just give me some drugs.

I hope to work on my Tayna Meehan Halloween Gameboard too so then that won't be a WIP any more.

Another day

Well I don't have Spring Planting done quite yet. Maybe tomorrow. I still have one bluebird, 3 butterflies, flower centers and the out lining left to do. I would have been done either yesterday or today but I feel like crap. I am coming down with a cold I think. I have this horrid cough which is bothering my arrhythmias (which is not good) and I ache all over. Hopefully this will be short lived.

Yesterday I bought the book A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. I have been listening to it on my MP3 player at the gym. It is a pretty decent book so far. I probably should read the book The Power of Now. Apparently that is kinda a prelude to this one. It really sums A New Earth up better. I am going to register on the net for A New Earth. It was one of Oparh's book club books. Martha suggested it to me.

Well I think it is time to register the book and then head to bed.

What does Kathryn mean?

I saw this on another friends blog so I thought I would check out what my name mean't. My real name is Kathryn so here is the meaning. It is very close to what I actually am like suprising.

What Kathryn Means

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.
You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.
You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

Well a post finally

Well it has been a while since I posted last. I have been busy working on my cross stitch and feeling sorry for myself.

This is a kit I got with one of my Christmas cards in an exchange that I participated in.

This is the Breast Cancer Biscornu that I was doing. It took me a while to do cause I kept making mistakes on it. I finally finished it and gave it to a friend of our who had Breast Cancer. She goes to the craft shows with us and shares our table.

This is the t-shirt I started last weekend. It is called Spring Planting by San Man Originals. That is half the pattern done in one week. My goal is to finish the rest this week.

I have not been to the gym since the end of February cause I have been having problems with my arrhythmias. NO where as bad as before Ablation #4 but still enough. I went to Toronto last week and both Dr. Harris and Dr. Downar are please that I am feeling better. They are happy that my episodes are few than before the Ablation and the rate is alot lower as well. Now when I am out of rhythm rather than a rate of 196 to 210bpm my rates are 130 to 150bpm which is way down. My medication got upped so now I take it 3 times a day which is requiring the pacer to pace more since my resting heart rate is below 50. Somewhere around 45. SO they want to decrease the top number in the pacer to 130 so that it will catch more of the arrhythmias and not have them carry on for 2, 3, or even 5 hours. My only concer is that when I am exercising how it that going to work out. I don't want to be competing with the pacer for heart rates just to be able to work out. I have to see how the next 9 weeks go and then we will make a decision from there. Hopefully there will be no major issues in that time.

Well I will head to bed now so that I can make the gym early.

Vent

Today has been one of those days. I was out of rhythm first thing this morning but couldn't do anything about it as I had things to do. With it being the begining of the month I had monthly errands to run. Had to take my brother to the hospital so he could have his knee scoped. Came home to no water which I knew about. Tried to lift as much of the snow and ice off the driveway as I could so that nobody would fall on it. That task really bothers my back as the shovel is too short to do that. got a fair amount done. Slept this afternoon then went bowling. I did really shitty at bowling. Couldn't do anything no matter what I tried. Came home to put the garbage out and fell on the ice. I hurt my hand. Not badly but it still smarts now and I fell almost 2 hours ago.

I am fed up so I am going to bed now.
